Week 1 day 1

Ashley- Day one was an experience. I never  thought I would be able to run as much as I did last night. I made  myself proud and is willing to go out again! Of course this morning my body did hurt a little but one I got up and started moving around it went right away. My sister Tina and I have set a goal to run as much as we can for the mother's day breast cancer walk in Philadelphia.

Tina- We did it! After a long day of work followed by a doctor's appointment, my sister and I put on our running shoes and got out there and started C25K. It was nearly 730 when we finally started, but the point is... we did it! I'm really proud of my sister who even though she was in pain and struggling to finish the runs, she pushed forward and managed to jog the times required.

I'm not going to lie and say it wasn't tough, because it was. I was struggling to keep up but kept reminding myself of my goal to run the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia on Mother's Day 2011.

For those of you who aren't familiar with C25K, it's a program to get you up off the couch and running a 5k within 9 weeks. The first day goes like this. 5 minutes of warm-up walking, 60 seconds of jogging, 90 seconds of walking (repeat 6 times) then finish up with 5 minutes of cool-down walking. It doesn't seem tough, but it is for this girl who hasn't ran in nearly 6 years! If we can do it then you can too :)
